Man…it has been awhile…X_X

Hello Blogger!!!

As from the title of this journal, it has been quite awhile since I’ve been on DA. The reason is quite complicated.

REASON

During the last year and while I’ve been patiently waiting for the completion of an important project, I somewhat hit a bump in my life with college. Life seems pretty simple now that I finished the first of three semesters in the graduate program. Meanwhile, most of my friends from high school have graduated from college, dropped out, or joined the army. I admit I felt somewhat alone since I decided to pursue my Masters Degree in Accounting, and you can trust me when I say that these courses were challenging. As such, I didn’t have much time to draw, only write. In fact, I have roughly 50 (that’s right 50) works completed from character bios to scripts. It dawned on me about this slump I would eventually found myself in when I went to the local Home Depot to pick up a few supplies for my folks and found one of my best high school friends working in the rental tools area. I thought I would strike up a conversation with my friend, believing that we would both get a laugh about reliving the good old days. Sadly, I was wrong. He drastically changed for the worse. This once honorable valedictorian who dreamed of nothing more than working in the field of science is reduced to that “lowly position” (Note: his words, not mine). I tried to talk to him and encouraged him to return to college, but he didn’t want hear it. After that, he told me that he regretted not pursuing his dreams of science.

And this is when I came to my realization. I would like to see some of my works published one day; however, I also wish to pursue my goal of becoming an Accountant. So I decided to follow both paths: to better myself in the writing and artistic areas while vigorously studying for the CPA exams. It won’t be easy, but that’s life sometimes.

With this I lead into the next topic.

FUTURE PROJECTS

I’ve started College Life as a test to see how to run my website/comics/forums successfully and to experiment with other add-ons. I’ve researched quite a few comics and noticed a trend. I don’t wish to be rude or anything, but the art at the beginning of some comics is usually poor when compared to the more modern pages. With this in mind, I’ve decided to launch my first ever attempt at a manga-style work entitled Freedom’s Journey (There are some commission works out here on DA, but I’ll post the links later) within the next couple of months. Just need to learn how to better my human anatomy, structures, background, etc…etc…

CONCLUSION

With everything going on, I decided to resurrect my old DA, Blogger, and Twitter account by uploading some art each day and updating Blogger and twitter more often.

So world, watch out. I’m Mr. AMP and I’m making my comeback.
